I have a Hispanic partner and he wanted me to try the food here. I was a little skeptical, but when I walked in and saw them grilling on the spot, I knew my food would be good and fresh. I had a chorizo vampiro….(best chorizo I’ve had in life) asada mulita, a pollo taco and an order of churros. Hands down, best introduction to authentic cuisine here in Houston!

We ordered several tacos thinking they were small, and… surprise: they’re huge! Now I get why the waiter kept saying “and more tacos are coming,” with his eyes wide open 😂 Everything was delicious. The meat was tender and full of flavor, and not overly seasoned like other tacos I’ve had in Houston, which I really appreciated. They’re also really well served, topped with avocado, onion, and cilantro, with lime, radish, and cucumber on the side. The tortillas weren’t greasy at all, nothing felt greasy, everything was amazingly good. My favorites were the nopal and asada tacos — 100% recommend 🌮✨ Honestly, some of the best tacos I’ve had in Houston.

I’ve been to Tacos Frontera on Mason Road quite a few times, and it has become one of my favorite taco spots in the area. If you’re looking for authentic Tijuana-style tacos, this is the place to go. I’ve tried the burrito, several different tacos, and the elote, and everything has been consistently fresh and flavorful. My personal favorite is the carne asada tacos. The meat is always tender, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. Their green salsa is absolutely amazing and is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The elote is also really good and definitely worth ordering. One thing I love is the complimentary chicharrón they offer while you wait. They’re always fresh and pair perfectly with the salsa. The only downside is that the restaurant is fairly small and extremely popular, so it can get very crowded during peak hours. It can sometimes be difficult to find a seat after p

The absolute best tacos I’ve ever had. The place gets busy, for good reason. I’ve eaten here 4 times now and every time it has been delicious. The asada tacos have so much flavor. Massive amount of guacamole. Check their times cause they do shut down for an hour during the day. The jalapeño sauce is fantastic as well. Make sure you get some churros for something sweet as well.

First time visitor. I stopped by for a late lunch on a Friday around 4:00. It was very busy. The inside of the restaurant is very casual seating and unfortunately it was warm inside while waiting for the food. Your food will take about 20 minutes. They have a sign stating this. I ordered the Baja Taco, Asada taco, and Adobadda taco. The Baja fish taco was not cooked properly. The fish stick in the taco was slightly crispy and very moist in the middle. The other two tacos were good. The salsas were definitely unique.
